Trazer is the artist name of Anthony Johnson (that’s me).
I have been surrounded by music my entire life, and have always had a deep appreciation for its power to inspire emotion. Since I started playing the piano at age 7, I wanted nothing else but to share my music with the world. Over time, this passion has transitioned into a full-blown obsession. Writing music is the one thing in this world that I was born to do, and I’ve been doing it for as long as I can remember.
I got a PhD in materials engineering, but then hated being a materials engineer. In 2017 I quit my day job so that I could spend every spare moment in my tripped-out psychedelic music studio, immersing myself in the world I have created, constantly aspiring to create something beautiful. But being a full time music producer also turned out to be devastating for my mental health, and my creativity dried up for a while. In 2019 I got a new day job, in a career path I actually enjoy (data science), and now music has turned back into a hobby. Having music as hobby, and not a career, has done wonders for my creativity. I can make music simply for the joy of it, and I’ve been making more music than ever.
To my fans, I love you. Your encouraging words never cease to lift my spirits and inspire me. So thank you for your support. It literally means the world to me 😀
